Urban Perfect is an art exhibition that explores visions of architecture of the future as imagined in three realms: science fiction art, science, and architecture. The exhibition will feature paintings from science fiction books and magazines dating from the pulp era of the 30's and 40's to the present day. These pictures showcase fanciful and startling ideas from authors and artists about what the homes, buildings and cities of the future might look like. From the world of science, the exhibition will showcase proposals from engineers and scientists for space colonies and settlements on other worlds. Also, Urban Perfect will explore visionary plans from real-world architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright for blue-sky projects that were never realized, perhaps because they were fantastically expensive or even physically impossible.
Admission notes: Admission is Free on the First Thursday of each month.
