The City of Tacoma has a rich history, and its recent renaissance as a cultural hub has made it more inviting than ever. Today’s Tacoma offers a wealth of museums, theaters, fine dining, boutique shopping and distinctive neighborhoods. The city couples its cultural side with outdoor recreation opportunities galore, so rain or shine, visitor find plenty to do. Tacoma is now Washington state’s third largest city and the largest municipality in Pierce County. It is located just 18 miles south of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport along Interstate 5 making it a convenient stopping point for travelers in the Northwest corridor. The city overlooks commencement Bay, yet it is just 56 miles from popular Mount Rainier National Park.
