A Couple of Ways of Doing Something: Photographs by Chuck Close, Poems by Bob Holman

Born and raised in Washington, Chuck Close has earned international acclaim for his realist portrait paintings. This exhibition features Close?s most recent photographic portraits, which he created in a range of media, including daguerreotypes, photogravures, computer-generated prints, and large-scale tapestries. The portraits are of Close?s influential and highly creative circle of friends?from Andres Serrano to Cindy Sherman?and are accompanied by New York School poet Bob Holman?s witty and beautifully typeset poems.
