Renoir as Printmaker features approximately seventy etchings and lithographs by the French artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919). Although known primarily for his impressionist paintings, Renoir became interested in printmaking during the last two decades of his life. Drawn from a private collection, the exhibition constitutes the artist's entire body of graphic work and will be supplemented with his paintings from Tacoma Art Museum's permanent collection including Heads of Two Young Girls [TĂȘtes de deux jeunes filles], also known as The Two Sisters [Les Deux Soeurs].
